Faces of OVGU: Making diversity visible together

With the “Faces of OVGU” campaign, we are highlighting the diversity of our university. Students, staff, and professors with a variety of backgrounds, life paths, and experiences represent our university community. Each face represents an individual perspective and contributes to the diverse overall picture of our university.

We kindly invite you to become part of this campaign by February 16, 2026, and join us in sending a clear message about diversity at OVGU.

 

How will your image be designed?

Your face will serve as a template for an artistic illustration. Our illustrators will simplify your facial features to such an extent that you will not be directly recognizable. The result will be an abstract, graphic motif that will be embedded as one element among many in the overall design of the campaign.

Use of illustrations

The illustrations created as part of the campaign may be used on BGF communication materials—for example, on posters, flyers, the website, or in social media posts—to highlight the diversity of OVGU.

Participation is, of course, voluntary. Only after you have given your explicit consent and signed the relevant agreement we will use and publish the artistically abstracted representation for these purposes.

 

What is the next step?

If you are interested in becoming part of the campaign, please contact Diversity Consultant Saskia Salmen directly:

  • We will then contact you, present the campaign idea in more detail, and explain the next steps.
  • Together, we will discuss which photo is suitable as a template and what requirements it should meet so that it can be illustrated.
  • If your motif is selected for the campaign, we will contact you again to discuss the planned use and clarify the binding terms and conditions (e.g., by agreement/license).
  • Note on data protection: The protection of your personal data is important to us. As part of the “Faces of OVGU” campaign, we only process data that is absolutely necessary for the implementation of the campaign.
